Kil'jaeden Down
In defeating Kil'jaeden, one of the most frustrating and difficult fights Blizzard has ever produced for WoW, I can't say enough how absolutely fucking proud I am of everyone who put in the effort to achieve this amazing feat. You deserved this kill. It is your hard work, your blood and sweat, that got us this far. Thank you. And I hope we may continue our comradery and efforts well into Wrath of the Lich King. I'm making a new hit list, and it includes Arthas!
Entropius (M'uru) Down
M'uru is far and away one of the most difficult encounters WoW has had to offer so far. It is the first encounter in all of TBC that truly requires skill and mettle to defeat. There's no brute forcing your way through this one. Hence, I consider last night's defeat of M'uru a great milestone in our guild's progression. For the first time, we have truly earned a top 50 U.S. kill of a boss in TBC. And, to our surprise, a kill within the top 100 in the world. For this achievement, a huge thank you must go out to all of our members, both old and new. I should probably extend additional gratitude to our dear friends, the gnomes. Without them, I'm quite positive we wouldn't have been able to kill M'uru.
But let's not get comfortable. There's one more boss in TBC for us to defeat. And man does the encounter look awesome! Kil'Jaeden, my friend... You're next!
Eredar Twins Down
After clearing Kalecgos, Brutallus and Felmyst in good time on Wednesday, we had about an hour to work on the Twins. We didn't get them down, but we did get the second twin to 25%. So, sure enough, we came back on Thursday and took them down in about five attempts. Aside from M'uru, the Eredar Twins is definitely the most difficult encounter in the Sunwell we've experienced thus far. And perhaps the most frustrating, so killing them is definitely rewarding. Awesome work, everyone! Felmyst Down
Felmyst combines elements of Nightbane and Heigan with mechanics that require decent reaction times to minimize raid-wide damage. They also make for a difficult encounter. Practice, practice, practice and she dies! The proof from last night lies below. Brutallus Down
Honestly, I have to say I'm impressed. Rocking up to Sunwell Plateau on Tuesday, my expectations were to simply kill Kalecgos and make some solid progress on Brutallus. But it became fairly evident to me on Thursday that we had an extremely realistic shot at killing Brutallus this past week. And, last night, we did just that. This is a fight where everyone has to be on their game. Everyone has to put out heaps of DPS. The tanks have to be on the ball with tank switches and the stomp. And this fight is one of the more technically difficult fights healing-wise, moreso than perhaps any other TBC encounter. Our main tanks were a protection warrior and a protection paladin. We used seven healers. And we had maybe around five seconds worth of enrage damage coming at us at the end. We didn't have anyone with warglaives in on the kill. Sathrovarr (Kalecgos) Down
We managed to kill Sathrovarr on Wednesday, on our first pull of the night. Kalecgos is much luckier than Vaelastrasz, it seems! Recruitment
